BE Your Brand!

I was driving the other day, thinking about stuff, customers, business, ideas, branding…

First, why not make a business example, or case study of myself? Before and after, branding and rebranding, website design and redesign, business focus and the changes in progress, the changes planned, and my personal brand.

Next thoughts, and these HIT HOME HARD – for years I have separated my business-self from my personal-self. I dressed differently. I tried to fit in and climb the corporate ladder unobtrusively. I took the classes, did the things, went the places, met the people, and played the game. I thought it was what I wanted and loved. And I was successful! But I also tried to tamp down the loud laughter, find a style to dress, go to the best school. I balked at the right car, and I HATE golf! (I should’ve seen the signs!)

So NOW, NOW I must LIVE my business, and my business must be true to me! I need to infuse my business with all the outgoing, off the beaten path ways and things I LOVE to be and do. There’s no reason to downplay, hide, or otherwise ignore these things about myself. I left the corporate world with all its blinders, bindings, and ties so I could make my own decisions, and BE ME. So my business IS ME – I need to live it, love it, flaunt it, and put it OUT THERE!

So look out world, here I am!
